Publications, Reports and Presentations

ACOG staff produce a wide range of general and technical brochures and publications that provide educational program summaries, document past activities undertaken and describe future plans for enhancing the region. These publications help facilitate ACOG's goal of improving public safety; securing an adequate and safe supply of water for the region; planning for our future transportation and community development needs; and, communicating Central Oklahoma's legislative priorities to state and federal lawmakers. Publications and brochures are generated for member communities and general public information, and are often produced with the assistance of local, state and federal support.

ACOG makes all of its online publications available in Adobe Acrobat Reader's PDF format. Interested persons may click on the Adobe icon to download the free Adobe Acrobat Reader, which allows you to view, navigate and print PDF files across all major computing platforms.

  • Oklahoma City Urban Area Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan (Posted Oct. 31, 2007): The Oklahoma City Urban Area Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan 2007 or “Coordinated Plan” serves various purposes. One is to meet the requirements of Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU), signed into law on August 10, 2005 (Pub. L. 109-59). The plan also concentrates on awareness regarding the coordination and sharing of agency vehicles and usage of non-DOT Federal funds eligible for transportation needs, as well as the need for increased municipal, county, and state funds. Implementation of the plan certainly benefits the area’s economy. The Oklahoma City Urban Area includes parts of Oklahoma, Canadian, Cleveland, and Logan counties. This area is similar to the US Census defined Urbanized Area (UZA). The incorporated major cities located within this area are Moore, Bethany, Choctaw, Del City, Edmond, Harrah, Midwest City, Mustang, Nichols Hills, Nicoma Park, Oklahoma City, Spencer, The Village, Warr Acres, and Yukon.
