ODOT Schedules Public Meetings in Region

Posted: Wednesday, September 29, 2004
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) will be hosting a series of meetings across the State to provide citizens with information, access to decision-makers within ODOT, and avenues for commenting on two important transportation planning documents, the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) and the Statewide Intermodal Transportation Plan.

The STIP is prepared annually and presents the next three federal fiscal years transportation improvement projects scheduled by ODOT. Citizens will be able to discuss and provide comments on these and any projects they would like ODOT to consider for addition to future programs.

The Statewide Intermodal Transportation Plan is policy plan (of which the OCARTS Plan is a part) that presents the guiding policies for the next 25 years. It is updated every five years. The current Plan will be on display and citizens will be asked to comment on existing policies and corridors and propose future directions for ODOT.

The meeting locations and dates that are most convenient for the OCARTS area are listed below. The full schedule of meetings is listed on the attachment. Meeting times are from 5 to 7pm.

October 12, 2004 – ODOT Division 4 Headquarters, US 77 West Rural Asst., Perry

October 18, 2004 – ODOT Building, 200 NE 21st Street, Commission Room, Oklahoma City
