ASPA Accepting Nominations for Administrator of the Year

Nominations are now being accepted for the Administrator of the YearAward.
The annual tribute recognizes an Oklahoma public servant whose career exhibits the highest standards of excellence, dedication, and accomplishment. The Oklahoma Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration is the sponsor of the award.
Nominees are solicited throughout the state. Selection criteria are outstanding leadership qualities, high professional and ethical standards, superior record of achievement, and strong commitment to public service. Nominees may work for organizations at any level of government, nonprofit organization, or educational institution.
During the past 35 years the Administrator of the Year Award has honored many of Oklahoma’s finest public administrators. They include Robert LaFortune, Oscar Jackson, Hans Brisch, Connie Irby, Lindy Ritz, late ACOG Executive Director Zach D. Taylor, Mike Fogarty, and Howard Hendrick. Nominees may work for any level of government, non-profit organization, or educational institution.
The American Society for Public Administration promotes the value of joining and elevating the public service profession. Its mission is to advance the art, science, teaching and practice of public and nonprofit administration. The national organization was founded in 1939. The Oklahoma chapter was established in 1964.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, April 16th. The award will be presented at a May 3rd banquet hosted by the Oklahoma Federal Executive Board. For more information visit www.ASPAOklahoma.us.
