New Officers Named to ACOG Boards and Committees

Officers for fiscal year 2012-2013 have been named and will lead the Association in the next year as it considers mobility, public safety and quality of life issues that impact Central Oklahoma.Willa Johnson, Oklahoma County Commissioner, District 1 has been named Chair of the ACOG Board of Directors and the Intermodal Transportation Policy Committee. Elizabeth Waner, Edmond Councilmember, will serve as Vice-Chair of the board. Pete White, Oklahoma City Councilmember, will serve as Secretary-Treasurer.
The 9-1-1 Association of Central Oklahoma Governments has also named new officers. David Dirkschneider, Warr Acres Councilmember, has been nominated to Chair. Linda Molsbee, Newcastle Vice-Mayor, will serve as Vice-Chair. Tom Kovach, Councilmember with the city of Norman, has been nominated to Secretary/Treasurer. The 9-1-1 Association was formed to implement and manage the emergency number system for communities in the Central Oklahoma region.
Finally, the Garber-Wellington Policy Committee elected officers, including Chairman Ray Poland, Mayor of Jones; Peter Hoffman, Nichols Hills Mayor as Vice-Chair, and Mark Sharpton, Logan County Commissioner as Secretary/Treasurer. The Garber-Wellington Policy Committee works on policy and issues that impact Central Oklahoma's aquifer, surface water and water systems.
