Search Air Quality Data in Central Oklahoma

Ozone and Carbon Monoxide data is now available for 8/1/05 to 8/30/06.

To check the current levels for ozone or carbon monoxide, which are updated every hour, every day, depending on the time of year, please visit the DEQ Web site. If you are interested in learning more about air quality pollutants and current standards please visit www.epa.gov.

Tropospheric (ground-level) O3 is formed by reactions in the troposphere of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and nitrogen oxides (NO x), which are emitted from numerous and diverse mobile (e.g., cars, trucks) and stationary (e.g., power plants) sources. These reactions are most likely to produce high levels of ambient O3 during periods of high temperature and high solar radiation during the summer months.
