About the 911 Grant Program

The 911 ACOG Grant Program provides funding to eligible Emergency Communications Centers (ECCs) within the 911 ACOG Service Area to enhance the reliability, interoperability, and sustainability of 911 services. Approximately $1.3 million in first-year funding (2026) will be available through a competitive application process.

  • Total Year 1 Funding: ≈ $1.3 million
  • Award Range: $50,000–$250,000 per project
  • Special Category: Up to $3,500 per person for ECC staff conference attendance. For conference attendance grant applications, an ECC is allowed to submit up to three (3) applications for up to three (3) staff members per grant cycle.
  • Match Requirement: No cash match required (voluntary match earns bonus points)
  • Project Type(s): ECC operations, technology, and regional collaboration

Grant Eligibility

The 911 ACOG Grant Program is open to:

  • Primary Emergency Communications Centers (ECCs) in the 911 ACOG Service Area
  • Member communities are encouraged to communicate with your ECC Director to discuss a potential grant project

What Projects Are Eligible?

The program supports projects that strengthen ECC operations, modernize technology, and encourage regional collaboration.

ECC Operations & Reliability

  • Upgrades that improve 911 call handling and dispatch functions
  • Initiatives that enhance reliability and resiliency of ECC operations

Technology & Modernization

  • Hardware and software to support Next Generation 911 capabilities
  • Systems that improve interoperability between jurisdictions
  • Cybersecurity and continuity of operations tools tied to ECC performance

Regional Collaboration & Shared Solutions

  • Shared infrastructure or platforms used by multiple ECCs
  • System consolidation projects
  • Projects that clearly demonstrate regional benefit

Conference Funding

ECC staff conference attendance may be funded up to $3,500 per person when directly related to improving 911 services. For conference attendance grant applications, an ECC is allowed to submit up to three (3) applications for up to three (3) staff members per grant cycle.

Funding & Match Details

AWARD RANGE: Most awards will be between $50,000 and $250,000.

CONFERENCE FUNDING: Up to $3,500 per person for eligible conferences. For conference attendance grant applications, an ECC is allowed to submit up to three(3) applications for up to three (3) staff members per grant cycle.

MATCH:

  • No cash match is required.
  • Applicants offering voluntary cash matching funds will receive additional scoring points.

COORDINATION WITH STATE FUNDING:

  • The program can provide matching funds for the Oklahoma 911 Management Authority (OK911MA) grant program.

Review Process:

  • Applications are reviewed and scored using established criteria.
  • Awards are approved by the 911 ACOG Board of Directors.

Reimbursement & Reporting:

  • Awards are reimbursement-based and administered through an Interlocal Grant Agreement.
  • Quarterly reporting is required, with a final closeout report at project completion.
