911 Institute

In 1994, ACOG established the 911 Training Institute to offer Central Oklahoma emergency dispatchers a top quality, affordable and nationally accredited alternative to expensive out-of-state training. The Institute relies upon the expertise of local dispatchers who are certified to train others in basic telecommunications. The Institute also hosts several dispatcher courses including Public Safety Telecommunicator I certification courses, Communications Training Officer (CTO) certification courses, Fire Service Communications, Domestic Violence, Crimes in Progress, Active Shooter, Crisis and Hostage Negotiations, Critical Incident Dispatching, Suicide Intervention, EMD, and many others. The Institute offers 8-16 hours of training opportunities per month.

For more information about the Institute or to register for upcoming classes, please contact Robin Murray, 911 Institute Program Manager, 405-234-2264 or email rmurray@acogok.org
