Program Funds Alternative Fuel Vehicle and Infrastructure Projects for Emissions Reductions

The Association of Central Oklahoma Governments (ACOG) is pleased to announce an RFP for the first round of CLEAN AIR Grants for Public Sector Fleets for FY21.

This grant funding supports fleet conversions to clean fuel technologies to include light duty, medium duty and heavy-duty alternative fuel vehicles, hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles, and alternative fuel vehicle refueling infrastructure.

Entities that are eligible for Congestion Mitigation Air Quality (CMAQ) funds include:

  • Oklahoma City Area Regional Transportation Study (OCARTS) Transportation Management Area local government entities  (OCARTS map)
  • OCARTS member public transit fleets
  • Public trusts & public authorities that provide essential services to OCARTS member entities
  • Public colleges & universities
  • Oklahoma Career Tech System Technology Centers
  • Public School Districts in the OCARTS area

“Regional public fleets continue to be leaders in alternative fuel deployments that contribute to the economic, energy and environmental security for our region,” Mark W. Sweeney, AICP, Executive Director of ACOG, said. “Alternative fuel use has a direct positive impact on public health and our ability to stay in attainment with EPA air quality standards.”

Applications must be submitted using ACOG’s online applications system.
